Celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves says it will take him less than 30 minutes to do Jessica and Ashlee Simpson's hair for the MTV Australian Video Music Awards.
"I know the girls so well that I am really fast," said Paves, who has worked with the Simpson sisters for eight years. "Honestly, I can get the girls hair ready in less than a half hour and they're so beautiful, they're not high maintenance divas."
Paves and make-up artist Mary Phillips have travelled to Australia with the Simpsons to make sure they look their best at the event. "These are important moments," said Paves. "The fans look forward to them looking good. It is part of their job."
Phillips said that while the girls looked similar, their styling required a totally different approach.
"Ashlee is more rock and likes a harder, smokey eye," said Phillips. "Jessica is the modern day Brigitte Bardot and Ashlee is like the modern day Deborah Harry."
For Ashlee Simpson herself, she says she likes to mix up her look. "I have a hair stylist and a make-up artist but it is always kind of the mood that I am feeling," she said. "I like to change quite a bit. I got a great team."

tbh, Ashlee is natural beautiful. The thing she has on the eyes don't fit her that much, and so does the make-up. |
