Pop star Jessica Simpson is convinced her sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will make a great parent - because she "inspires love" in those around her.

Singer Ashlee Simpson - who wed rocker Pete Wentz last month - finally confirmed she is expecting her first child with the Fall Out Boy star last Thursday after being dogged by pregnancy rumors for weeks.

And 27-year-old Jessica has no doubt her younger sibling, 23, will take to parenthood with ease.

She tells People.com, "She'll be amazing, absolutely amazing."

"They're just the cutest couple in the world. They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about."

Just as I get all excited about seeing Ashlee at the House of Blues here in Chicago she candels her tour. Oh well. The health and safety of the baby are the most important thing.

A just-married and pregnant Ashlee Simpson will step out for a short tour next month to support her new album, "Bittersweet World."

The 23-year-old pop-rock singer is scheduled play a dozen dates in the eastern US beginning June 9 in Chicago. She also has a June 14 booking at the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Her US itinerary is listed below.

Simpson has been a busy lady over the past few months: In addition to making the promotional rounds to push "Bittersweet World," which dropped April 22, she married Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz May 17 and the couple recently announced they are expecting a child. People.com recently reported that Simpson will take Wentz's last name, but plans to use the professional name Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

For now, the focus turns to taking the new album to live audiences, and Simpson can't wait to hit the road.

"That's my favorite part of the job," she said in her bio. "I love playing live and seeing up close and personal how your music affects other people."

Simpson wrote or co-wrote every song on "Bittersweet World," which peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200. The lead single, "Little Miss Obsessive" featuring the Plain White T's Tom Higgenson, recently made its way onto Billboard's Pop 100 chart.

Simpson said she is loving her life right now and wanted to bring that spirit to the new album.

"I wanted to make music people could shake their booties to and use beats for the first time," she explained. "I wanted to sing fun songs. Basically, I wanted to make a party record."

A couple of song samples from the album are streaming at her MySpace page.

"Bittersweet World" is Simpson's third release, following 2004's "Autobiography" and 2005's "I Am Me," both of which topped The Billboard 200 and led to sold-out tours, according to the performer's bio.

Newlyweds and parents-to-be Ashlee Simpson-Wentz & Pete Wentz are reportedly hoping to follow in the footsteps of Ashlee's big sister and film the early days of their marriage for a reality TV show.

The first two years of Jessica Simpson's union to Nick Lachey were filmed for MTV for the show Newlyweds and after the couple divorced in 2006, Nick labelled the show a dumb idea.

But Jessica and Nick's experience hasn't dissuaded Ashlee and Pete from planning their own show. A source told OK magazine: "They are shopping it around TV stations.

"Pete and Ashlee have already filmed footage that they are showing in meetings."

The source added that it'll have the similar appeal as the original series, with an albeit red-headed Ashlee slotting neatly into the 'dumb blonde' role vacated by her sister: "One scene is at a dinner and everyone is toasting to business ventures and important things like that. But when it came to Ashlee, she toast 'to jewellery' and Pete just shook his head."

The couple – who married at Ashlee's parents' Los Angeles house on May 17 – wanted to wait until Ashlee had safely gone past her first trimester, three months, before announcing the happy news.

They wrote on Pete's website friendsorenemies.com: "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm we are expecting our first child. "This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Meanwhile, Ashlee is set to officially change her surname in honor of her new husband. The 23-year-old singer will be known to family and friends as Ashlee Wentz and professionally as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. She said: "I think it's something a woman should do when they're marrying a man. It's a tradition, and I think it's a great tradition".

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete, 28, insists he would never pressurise Ashlee to change her name, but was thrilled with the decision. He told People magazine: "These decisions with Ashlee and her name are all completely up to Ashlee. I want her to do these kinds of things the way she wants to do them. "But I was flattered. I was like, 'Upgrade me!' You know what I'm saying? The Wentz family, our Christmas card just got upgraded! It feels insane. It feels unreal."

Here's some news on Ashlee changing her name.  I personally think that taking Pete Wentz's name is a great thing.  It's a very traditional thing to do.

The newlywed pop singer will go by Ashlee Wentz in private, and be professionally known as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, according to a report posted Wednesday on People.com. The heretofore Simpson was married on May 17 to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.

Ashlee and Pete have returned from their honeymoon! Here's some news about it.

Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz returned to New York Thursday, after honeymooning in the Turks and Caicos. The couple were married May 17 at Simpson's parents home in Enrico, California.

According to People.com, Wentz said that the couple's honeymoon was going to be on a "very, very, very, very private island so that the paparazzi can't follow us."

The couple spent the first night of their honeymoon in a safari tent on the Simpson's property.

The couple's rep has confirmed they are back in New York so Wentz can take care of business. They are also expected at a private party.

Simpson, 23, and Wentz, 28, exchanged vows in front of 150 guests in a ceremony that was performed by Ashlee's dad, Joe Simpson.

Ashlee Simpson, "Bittersweet World" (Geffen Records): There's no reason to believe that Ashlee Simpson is living in a "Bittersweet World." Jess' fun-loving little sis is newly engaged, with a giant sparkler from Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, and has been blissfully showing it off to the cameras.

As it happens, the songs on Simpson's third studio album sound more sweet than bitter. Though the effervescent pop-punkster is growing up, with a maybe baby on the way, the disc retains the girly-tomboy vibe and sleek production of her previous albums.

This time around, Simpson enlisted the sonic skills of megaproducer Timbaland and The Neptunes' Chad Hugo, and it shows in beat-heavy songs like "Murder," featuring rapper Izza Kizza, and "Boys," the album's best song, in which Simpson coyly croons: "Some say I make the guys/Hyptonized/When I bat my eyes/And walk past/They say I'm such a tease/But that's just me."
